The field
The four 2000 World Golf Championships (Andersen Consulting Match Play
Championship in February in California - won by Darren Clarke; NEC Invitational
in Ohio in August; American Express Championship at Valderrama; and new
addition the EMC World Cup in Argentina in December) are organised under
the auspices of the International Federation of PGA Tours, formed in 1996
to create and sanction world-class competitions for the games
foremost international players.
