Day 3 (11/11/00) Tanaka
Birdies on the 17th have been the key of the day. Woods finally managed to get a safe ball on the green in only two shoots, after ending up on the water the first two days of competition. He only managed a birdie, but he won the necessary confidence that could push him tomorrow to "attack" the leadership the very last day. His overall score is now -7 behind American Mark Calcavecchia and Canadian Mike Weir (with an impressive card of 65 today) both with -8. It seems tomorrow will be another exciting final day at Valderama.
